New version NIPO DSC for IBM SPSS
Posted by Ard Bisschop on 06 January 2012
On 6 January 2012 NIPO Software released version 2.0 of the NIPO DSC for IBM SPSS. With NIPO Software’s focus on data collection, we aim for a seamless integration with the IBM SPSS analytical products. The NIPO DSC (data source component) makes it possible to open NIPO Software data (closed, open and meta data) natively in the Dimensions data model. Thus avoiding time consuming and error prone exporting of data.
The key features of the NIPO DSC for IBM SPSS (previously known as SPSS Dimensions or the PASW Data Model) are:
-
Open and use NIPO Software data directly in PASW Statistics, IBM SPSS Data Collection Survey Reporter and IBM SPSS Data Collection Base Professional.
-
Use hierarchical data views in the IBM SPSS Data Collection suite on NIPO Software data.
-
Run NIPO Diana / Nvision Script processing jobs automatically upon opening NIPO Software data in IBM SPSS products, combining the power of both.
The most important additions to the NIPO DSC version 2.0 are:
-
Include open-ended answers
-
Replace "SPSS-damaging" characters in NIPO variable names (points, comma's, colons, etcetera)
-
Support hierarchical data on single and multiple levels
-
Configure the NIPO DSC for IBM SPSS without requiring administrator level privileges
-
Configure log folder location and log level for all users on a single workstation
-
Set DSC configuration from a DMS script.
Please contact NIPO Software if you would like to use the NIPO DSC.
