    NIPO Software integrates with MARSC.net

Posted by Sjoerd Gras on 15 March 2012

Addressing a much asked request to add panel management to the NIPO Software data collection suite, we decided to join forces with a renowned partner in this field, MARSC Limited, a global panel management software provider.

Sample drawn from MARSC.net goes directly into NIPO’s survey table, whilst MARSC's Generic Refresh automatically returns outcome codes and other information back into the MARSC.net database. This partnership is aimed at providing current clients, as well as new customers of NIPO Software and MARSC Limited, a seamless software package for market research projects.

The benefits of the integration for NIPO Software users are:
    • Panel research option now available for both CAWI and CATI research.
    • Minimal impact on projects on NIPO Software platform as integration is mostly organized on the MARSC side.
    • Both MARSC as NIPO Software offer proven solutions, used in production.

Nicky Forsyth, Managing Director of MARSC Limited says "We are very happy to be working with NIPO Software and look forward to this opportunity of providing clients a fully integrated survey and panel management solution."

Sjoerd Gras, Product Director of NIPO Software says "Together we offer a strong combined portfolio to the market with outstanding panel and research capabilities in CATI, CAPI and Web."

The integration is described in more detail in the 5 steps below:

    5 steps
    1. Panel administration: This is done in MARSC.net completely.

    2. Drawing sample: This is a nice feature of the MARSC.net panel management system, because it can draw the sample and write this to a CSV file or into any database table. The last point will be of particular interests it can create a new sample table in the NIPO CATI-CAWI system. These sample tables include all the standard required fields as well as the profile information relevant to the survey.

    3. Starting fieldwork: All other survey settings (templates, questionnaires, invitations, scheduling, etc.) have to be configured in our system; the sending of CAWI invitations is done by NIPO CAWI, using the sample already created by MARSC.net.

    4. Update panel list: MARSC.net uses a database trigger to get the current response code of the panel members in the panel management system, based on changing information in NIPO Software’s survey sample table.

    5. Send survey data: With the NIPO ODIN Developer a Triple-S XML file can be created of the survey data. The MARSC Generic Refresh tool reads this Triple-S file and updates the data in the panel management system.
