  • NIPO Software integrates with MARSC.net NIPO Software has been working with MARSC Limited, a global panel management software provider, to develop a direct link between the two products. Sample drawn from MARSC.net goes directly into NIPO's CATI and/or CAWI survey table, whilst MARSC's Generic Refresh automatically returns outcome codes and other information back into the MARSC.net database.

  • New version NIPO DSC for IBM SPSS On 6 January 2012 NIPO Software released version 2.0 of the NIPO DSC for IBM SPSS. With NIPO Software’s focus on data collection, we aim for a seamless integration with the IBM SPSS analytical products. The NIPO DSC (data source component) makes it possible to open NIPO Software data (closed, open and meta data) natively in the Dimensions data model. Thus avoiding time consuming and error prone exporting of data.

  • CAPI: Do not use Windows 7 Starter Edition Recently we received customer questions about CAPI performance on devices running on Microsoft Windows 7 Starter Edition. This edition is popular on budget notebooks, however, as it lacks the .NET framework, you need to upgrade to Microsoft Windows 7 Home, Professional, or Ultimate.

    This month NIPO Software started the development of Nfield Web & Mobile, the new web and mobile interviewing studio of NIPO Software. Nfield Web & Mobile is part of the larger multi-mode Nfield system that is to gradually replace the current NIPO Software data collection platform in the years to come. A first version is planned for 2011.

  • Integration with IBM SPSS data model further improved NIPO Software has extended the NIPO DSC for IBM SPSS to support the hierarchical presentation of data in IBM SPSS products. With the new capabilities it is possible to represent structured data, such as grids and repeat loops, in IBM SPSS reporting tools.

    On 27 July we have released the NIPO CAPI System 5.06, the new version of our face-to-face data collection system. It is a major update to make the NIPO CAPI System compatible with Microsoft Windows 2008 R2 for server applications and Microsoft Windows 7 editions for end user applications.

  • Woolcott milestone in web interviews Recently, the Australia based market research company Woolcott Research hit the milestone for completing 100,000 web interviews through the NIPO Fieldwork System for Web interviewing. This showes that a 'Pay Per Complete' license is a viable long term commercial strategy for research companies with low web interview volumes.
