A new joint CAPI offering of Panasonic and NIPO Software

Panasonic ToughbookPanasonic and NIPO Software have the pleasure to announce a business wise very interesting joint offering that will reduce the cost of ownership in modern CAPI operations.

Market research companies can order state-of-the-art, robust touchscreen Panasonic Toughbook series laptops with the NIPO CAPI interviewer client pre-installed. Launching a new interviewer workstation in the field was thus never so easy and required so little effort.

Ad hoc projects without large investments
The Panasonic hardware is available to all NIPO CAPI customers. The hardware can be either bought or leased. CATI and CAWI users that have only temporary and/or sporadically demand for face-to-face projects, or NIPO Software CAPI customers that experience a provisional need for expansion of their CAPI field force, can license the software on a temporary basis.

Hosted locally or via NIPO Software servers
The NIPO CAPI server needed for the fieldwork can also be delivered with the interviewer notebooks or the customer can decide to set this up on their existing IT infrastructure.

If a proper CAPI IT infrastructure is not present or if the customer prefers that the survey is hosted, then NIPO Software can provide this service as well. Using the NIPO Hosting service interviewers in the field only need internet access to download questionnaires/addresses and upload the survey results.

Proven software and hardware
For over 20 years, NIPO Software is supplying the market research industry with CAPI software. With customers operating CAPI on over 1,600 interviewer workstations, the worlds largest CAPI fieldforces run on NIPO Software. The NIPO CAPI System combines industrial performance with practically endless flexibility on configuration and look and feel of projects. A demo of the new interviewer software can be downloaded here.

Similarly, Panasonic has long-term experience with producing solid high-end laptops. Especially for usage within the market research interview industry, Panasonic has created the Toughbook CF-T8. The machine is designed with face-to-face interviewing in mind. To Panasonic, it was clear that they needed to build a robust machine that offers features like multi media, a very high screen quality during outdoor interviewing, touchscreen support and portability with a battery life of up to 8 hours. The robustness of the Panasonic Toughbook CF-T8 is reflected in the fact that the machines are shock proof and withstand drops during power-on mode of 76 cm. Furthermore the Toughbook CF-T8 offers a unique carrying strap underneath and data entry via touch screen enabling the interviewer to conduct interviews very relaxed. More information on this machine can be found here.
