With the NIPO Fieldwork System for CATI Interviewing, fieldwork supervisors gain optimal control over the CATI field force. From the supervisor’s PC, fieldwork supervisors and customers see what the interviewers see and type in on their PC.

At the same time they hear what the interviewers ask and how the respondent answers via the telephone switchboard or via telephony cards and the PC network. Moreover, the CATI system generates up to date statistics about response, fulfilment of sample quotas, fieldwork costs and interviewer performances.

When existing PBX’s are connected (through standard interfaces), telephone numbers can be dialled automatically. This will increase the performance of interviewers significantly. If your existing PBX cannot be connected, telephony cards can be installed on the interviewer PC’s in order to achieve the same functionality.

NIPO Software supports the use of various dialers, like InVADE, Sytel and Authensis. These platforms offer functionality for auto-dial, progressive dial (technical non-response will automatically be filtered) and predictive dial. Compared to manual dialling, these advanced dial options can easily increase the performance of interviewers by 25%. Of course average duration of an interview will be of influence. The dialers also support the playing and recording of sound fragments over the telephone line. Any other dialer manufacturers can integrate with NIPO Software through our standard API.

In combination with NIPO Software, some of the dialers offer possibilities for seamless integration of remote interviewers (the NIPO Virtual Call Centre).

Our CATI system has the ability to manage interviewers who work at home, called NIPO CATI@Home.

All features of the ordinary NIPO Fieldwork System for CATI Interviewing stay intact and quality checking - watching progress and listening in on interviews being conducted - can be done online as well.

The new NIPO Fieldwork System integrates CATI and CAWI into one powerful instrument. This new instrument allows to conduct both administered and self-completion surveys across multiple channels (web and telephone).

It provides all facilities to anticipate on the modal influence of doing research across these two methods. All required CATI functionalities, like quality control and usage of predictive dialling, are of course included.

Next to that, the system offers everything needed for state-of-the-art web surveys. The NIPO Fieldwork System shares one script in the CATI and CAWI environment, so no alterations of the script have to be made in order to change or add a channel.
